By fostering strong partnerships between law enforcement, local government, and residents, Sandy has worked to enhance our community's ability to prevent and solve crime while also responding effectively to emergencies. Some of her significant achievements in public safety include:

• 911 Consolidation: Sandy has spearheaded the consolidation of 911 services to improve response times and coordination during emergencies, ensuring that help reaches residents faster.

• Fully Funding the Lake County Sheriff's Office: Under Sandy’s leadership, the Sheriff's office has received full funding, enabling them to effectively serve and protect our community.

• Life-Saving Investments: Sandy has made critical investments in public safety infrastructure, such as the regional operations center, which has been instrumental in saving lives. An example includes the heroic actions of local Marines who saved children, highlighting the importance of these investments.

• Gun Violence Prevention Initiatives: Sandy has supported and implemented measures aimed at preventing gun violence, ensuring safer neighborhoods for all residents.

• Supporting Vulnerable Populations: Sandy works closely with local organizations that serve the most vulnerable members of our community, providing the necessary resources and support to enhance their safety and well-being.
