Stormwater and Transportation Infrastructure
Lake County has pressing infrastructure needs. Increased flooding is having disastrous impacts on homes and businesses across Lake County. By investing in ecological solutions and upgrading stormwater management infrastructure, we enable properties to be resilient in the face of the threat of increased flooding in the future.
Under Sandy’s leadership, the Lake County Board has worked to make historic investments in our community’s infrastructure. Lake County now has a ranked Capital Improvement Plan to modernize and upgrade Lake County’s infrastructure to be more efficient and resilient for years to come.
Lake County has over 500 miles of bike paths, and Sandy continues to fight to improve and expand these paths. She knows how important bike paths are for community health, quality of life, and protecting the environment and will continue to fight for the longevity of our bike paths and other outdoor spaces.
